New Injectible Foam Could Help Heal Wounds in Battle

DARPA says it has developed a foam-based product that could help heal wounds on the battlefield. The product was developed by Arsenal Medical and when injected into a wound could help slow blood loss. DARPA says the new foam is designed to be administered on the battlefield by a combat medic. They also say the foam is easily removable by doctors during surgical intervention once the soldier is inside an appropriate treatment facility.
